Inventory Specialist Level 2

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Inventory Specialist Level 2 to join our operations team. This role supports inventory accuracy, materials coordination, and daily warehouse functions to keep our facility running smoothly.

Job Summary

The Inventory Specialist Level 2 is responsible for performing advanced inventory control tasks, conducting cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, managing material movement, and utilizing ERP systems to ensure real-time accuracy. This position requires strong attention to detail, experience in inventory operations, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records
  • Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies using ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)
  • Receive, label, and store materials in designated warehouse locations
  • Issue materials and components to production and maintain proper documentation
  • Assist with physical inventories and year-end audits
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or overages to supervisors
  • Process material transfers, adjustments, and returns in the ERP system
  • Maintain accurate bin locations, part numbers, and stock rotation
  • Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, or other warehouse equipment (if certified)
  • Work closely with purchasing, production, and warehouse teams to ensure timely material flow
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized inventory area

Requirements

  • 2+ years of inventory, warehouse, or materials management experience
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of inventory control principles (FIFO, cycle counting, stock rotation)
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Forklift certification
  • Experience in manufacturing or distribution environments
  • Experience performing inventory audits and reconciliations
  • Knowledge of lean or continuous improvement practices
