Registered Nurse Job Details Location : Alamosa, Colorado (81101) - Colorado nursing jobs Healthcare Setting : Acute Care Hospital - Critical Care Float Pool (ICU & Med Surg) Employment Type : Travel RN Contract Start Date : November 10, 2025 End Date : February 9, 2026 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night shifts, 4x12-hour (18 : 00 - 06 : 00) Hours per Week : 36 (guaranteed) Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Free Parking : Available in unrestricted spaces Estimated Weekly Salary : $1840-$1890 ICU RN Qualifications Active RN license (state of Colorado or compact) Minimum 2 years of ICU and Emergency Department nursing experience Previous travel nurse experience required Certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS (NIHSS and TNCC preferred) Med Surg nursing experience required Ability to float between ICU, Med Surg, and sister facility (15 minutes away) Two supervisor references from the past 18 months Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1 - March 31) Experience with MediTech Expanse charting preferred Registered Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care to adult and geriatric populations in ICU and Med Surg units Float between units and facilities as needed for clinical support Perform advanced nursing procedures : para / thoracentesis, intubation, central and arterial line placement, ventilator management Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias, titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips Participate in rapid response team interventions Administer emergency medications and blood products Assist with chest tube insertion / removal and care for fresh tracheostomies Maintain infection prevention and isolation protocols Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams : Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Radiology Document patient care using MediTech Expanse EMR Discover the charm of Alamosa, Colorado, and enjoy outdoor recreation, vibrant local culture, and rewarding healthcare jobs.
