Job description

Job Summary :

The Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Operating Room (OR) provides care for a wide variety of patients, including those undergoing CABGs, TAVIs, and heart failure treatments. The role involves a multidisciplinary approach to patient care for individuals of all ages.

Location : New York, United States

Responsibilities :

  • Provide care for patients undergoing cardiac surgeries and procedures.
  • Scrub and circulate in the operating room.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Monitor and assess patients' conditions.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Document patient care accurately and efficiently.

Required Skills & Certifications :

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York (NY License ONLY).
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of OR experience.

    • Preferred Skills & Certifications :

  • OR experience in a Level 1 trauma center.
  • Ability to scrub and circulate.
  • EPIC experience within the last year.
  • Fully vaccinated (including booster).

    • Special Considerations :

  • Must be aware of potential day / evening / night rotating shifts.
  • Must disclose any requested time off (RTO) and dates.

    • Scheduling :

  • 12-hour shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM.
