Position Information Job Title Tenure Track Assistant Professor Computer Networks and Communications (2026 2027) Rank Assistant Professor Salary Range $86,000 - 90,000 Tenure Information Tenure Track Job Description The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Hartford is seeking to fill a tenure-track assistant professor position in Computer or Electrical Engineering with a focus on Computer Networks and Communications beginning August 2026. Candidates are expected to have a doctoral degree and excellent potential and dedication to teaching, research, service, and professional activities. Responsibilities The successful applicant will ordinarily teach three courses per semester in engineering and engineering technology related to computer engineering,which may change based on departmental needs. There may also be opportunities to teach our innovative general education and interdisciplinary courses. An active scholarly research agenda with peer-reviewed publications, presentations, or other professional accomplishments are expected for successful tenure and promotion. Service to the department, college, and university typically includes advising students, contributing to student recruitment and retention, advising student capstone projects, and participating in program accreditation.
