Job Description - AP Clerk / Accounting Clerk
We are looking for a dependable
Accounting clerk
to join our Accounts Payable and Member Services support team. The
Accounting clerk
will be responsible for depositing checks through a reader, processing invoices, completing daily bank reconciliations, and managing vendor payments with accuracy and efficiency. This role also requires the
Accounting clerk
to assist with member services, answer phones, and participate in special group projects as needed.
Key Responsibilities
The
Accounting clerk
deposits checks daily using a check reader and ensures accurate posting.
Process vendor invoices promptly and verify proper coding and approvals.
Perform daily bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Manage vendor payments, including preparing disbursements and maintaining payment schedules.
Answer incoming phone calls and provide support to members and internal departments.
Support special group projects and collaborate with team members as an engaged
Accounting clerk .
Assist with general member services tasks, maintaining a high level of professionalism and service.
Maintain organized financial records and provide backup support to other
Accounting clerk
functions during peak periods.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an AP clerk or
Accounting clerk .
Strong data-entry abilities with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills for phone support and member interaction.
Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel required).
A team-oriented mindset and willingness to take on additional responsibilities typically assigned to an
