Job descriptionConsistent weekday day shifts with no weekend work Competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans Paid time off and opportunities for continuing education and professional growth Supportive, team-focused work environment Opportunity to work in a specialized cardiovascular surgical setting Certification as a First Assist (CFA) or Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) Graduation from an accredited surgical technology or first assist program Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Experience in cardiovascular operating rooms preferred Additional surgical specialty certifications a plus Minimum one year of first assist experience preferred New graduates with strong clinical training and dedication to patient care are encouraged to apply
Position Overview
- Provide first assist support during cardiovascular and other surgical procedures
- Prepare the operating room with necessary instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile field and anticipate the surgeon's needs throughout cases
- Assist with patient positioning, hemostasis, suturing, and wound closure
- Collaborate closely with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
