Job Summary : \nThe Surgical Technician assists with surgical procedures in scrubbing duties. Responsible for preparing for procedures and assisting operative team, including preparation and maintenance of sterile supplies. Housing available depending on availability (walking distance tohospital).\n\nWhat You'll Do : \n\nCreate and maintain a sterile field.\nInspects sterile items for contamination before opening.\nAnticipates the need for equipment and supplies before thecase begins.\nAssures all equipment is functioning before use.\nOperates and maintains mechanical, electrical, and airpowered equipment according to manufacturer's instructions.\nScrub all surgical procedures and understand the specialneeds, techniques, and requirements of the individual surgeon.\nAbility to scrub specialty surgeries without the presence ofa sales representative including sports medicine and trauma.\nAssists RN with completion of operative charge and recordingof hardware used during procedure.\nCollects specimens and cultures by verifying source andcorrect tissue identification with surgeon.\n\n\nWho You Are : \n\nDetail oriented\nCollaborative team player\nExcellent communicator\nCooperative and thorough\n\n\nQualifications : \n\nHigh school diploma required.\nOne year experience in operating room as a SurgicalTechnician or Surgical Technician training required.\nCertification or eligible for certification preferred.\nAmerican Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification required\n\n\nJob Information : \n\n13 weeks\nVaried 12-hour day / evening shifts\nOn-call required\n\n

Catalytic Solutions Job ID #4-291705. Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
