What You Will Do :

  • Collaborate with factory workers to develop lean processes and tools
  • Maintain operation process sheets to current requirements
  • Make systematic improvements to drive manufacturing costs down
  • Review 1st time yield and test failures and work with cross-functional team to implement improvement actions
  • Characterize process failures using relentless root cause investigations implementing corrective actions and mistake-proofing
  • Collaborate with design engineering on engineering changes to improve producibility and cost
  • Collaborate with quality to streamline production processes and requirements
  • Identify and implement improvement and automation projects

What You Will Bring :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 1-3 years’ manufacturing engineering experience with a focus on shop floor / lean activities. Internship / Co-op experience may be considered.
  • Proficiency with MS Office 365, particularly MS Excel, required.
  • CAD Software
  • Training in shop floor / manufacturing safety
  • Ability to develop and present business correspondences required
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment but can also be self-directed when required
  • Due to the nature of the work, all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen.

  • Pay Range : $58K to $70K

    Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.

    Work Requirements :

    This role is considered an on-site position located in Loves Park, IL.

  • You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
  • Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Travel requirements : Due to the nature of the work, zero travel is required.

    Citizenship requirement : Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required.
