Associate Infrastructure Services and Management Engineer (MDM / Mobile Device)

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Associate Mobile Device Management (MDM) Engineer to join our IT team. In this role, you will assist in managing, securing, and optimizing the mobile devices across our organization. You'll work closely with senior engineers and IT administrators to ensure that all company-issued mobile devices (iOS and Android) are correctly configured, compliant, and secure. Assists with the monitoring and support of highly critical and highly available health system infrastructure, supporting the organization's applications. Collaborates with engineering, network / data center operations, project management and service desk staff to provide operational support of assigned systems within established timelines.

Job Responsibility

• Assist in the deployment, configuration, and support of mobile devices using MDM solutions (e.g., Intune, Jamf, Workspace ONE).
• Provide tier-3 support for mobile device incidents and requests.
• Monitor compliance policies and escalate issues related to security or configuration.
• Perform routine audits on device inventory, usage, and software updates.
• Oversee device lifecycle management, including procurement, staging / enrollment, upgrades, and decommissioning of mobile devices.
• Define, implement, and enforce mobile device security controls such as passcode requirements, encryption, remote wipe, and conditional access to meet corporate security and regulatory standards.
• Configure and manage mobile application deployment (both internal / enterprise apps and via app stores), ensuring compatibility, version control, and timely updates.
• Automate standard processes related to device enrollment, policy enforcement, compliance reporting, and device updates using scripts or automation tools.
• Monitor device health, performance, and usage; analyze logs and incident trends to identify patterns or systemic issues and recommend improvements.
• Assist with testing and validation of OS / app updates before broad deployment to ensure compatibility and avoid disruptions.
• Maintain working knowledge of Apple Business Manager (ABM), Knox Mobile Enrollment (KME), and Android Zero-Touch Enrollment for streamlined device provisioning and enrollment.
• Assists in monitoring and performing ongoing maintenance of infrastructure environments.
• Supports hardware and software required to operate assigned technologies.
• Helps in troubleshooting issues in assigned technology including hardware, software, operating system and application-related issues while maintaining Enterprise Service levels.
• Aids documentation related to technology installation, administration and maintenance, and disaster recovery planning.
• Performs capacity / performance analysis as assigned.
• Operates with direct guidance and work assignments are generally straightforward and of moderate complexity.
