Staff Accountant

Job Title : Staff Accountant

Responsibilities

Post and balance cash postings.

Mail invoice copies, statements, and credit references to dealers / customers.

Release parts and trucks from credit hold.

Maintain insurance certificates.

Contact customers to update all master data information.

Validate existing sales exemption certificates with customers and request renewals.

Release customer statements and reminders.

Collect and monitor valid sales exemption certificates.

Process manual journal entries.

Conduct General Ledger account reconciliation.

Reconcile between sub-ledgers and different tools within Finance.

Process accounts payable invoices through procurement matching and expense vouchering.

Review and resolve GR account overdue weekly.

Maintain and resolve Accounts Payable aging weekly.

Work closely with internal and external contacts to resolve discrepancies.

Request regular vendor statements.

Handle other assignments and projects as needed.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in general ledger operations.

Experience in invoicing.

Strong skills in Microsoft Excel.

Expertise in accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Ability to perform journal entries and reconciliation.

Data entry proficiency.

Vendor management capabilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Minimum of three years of experience in general accounting.

Basic computer skills with SAP experience being a plus.

High math aptitude and ability to work accurately with numbers.

Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and / or bookkeeping procedures.

Good interpersonal and organizational skills.

Associate’s degree in finance or accounting (preferred).

Work Environment

This is a fully on-site position from Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Summerville, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00 / hr.
