We are looking for an experienced set up operator for Acme Gridley Screw Machines.

Hours : 6 : 00 a.m. to 4 : 30 p.m. Monday - Friday

Overtime as needed

This position requires a person who is quality conscious and mechanically inclined. Someone who is willing to work in a team atmosphere and have a very good attendance record. The ability to work on your own and take the initiative to complete the required tasks in a timely and organized manner is important.

Requirements :

• Minimum of 3 years of set-up experience on Acme Gridley Screw Machines.
• Responsible for following set-up procedures to ensure repeatability, quality and efficiency of set-ups (i.e. best practice set-up, set-up sheets, job layout design, etc.)
• Responsible for assuring all necessary tooling is in good condition and available at time of set-up.
• Upon completion of job set-up, all tooling is reviewed and returned to its proper location.
• Assist Screw Machine operators in trouble shooting problem jobs to reduce down time and ensure optimal quality and efficiency.
• Responsible for the production of quality parts and maintaining production levels.
• Responsible for conducting basic cleaning, oiling and general maintenance of screw machines and inspection tables.
• Responsible for changing tools, drills and perform grinding on tools in machine as needed.
• Responsible for entering quality related information into SPC gage talkers hourly along with hand charting other diameters of part
• Complete other duties as assigned.
