Vets Choice Radiology (VCR) is hiring a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with experience in veterinary ultrasound to perform small-animal imaging at specialty and emergency hospitals in and around Knoxville, Tennessee.

You’ll be part of a nationwide network of over 100 board-certified veterinary radiologists who collaborate daily to deliver accurate, high-quality diagnostic results. This role is ideal for professionals confident scanning dogs and cats who value independence, flexibility, and teamwork.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform abdominal, thoracic, and musculoskeletal ultrasounds on small animals
  • Work closely with veterinarians and radiologists to ensure diagnostic accuracy
  • Maintain ultrasound equipment and uphold image quality standards
  • Follow established imaging protocols and documentation best practices
  • Provide professional, compassionate patient handling

What We’re Looking For

  • RDMS / ARDMS certification or equivalent diagnostic ultrasound credential
  • Veterinary imaging experience required (must be cross-trained or have prior veterinary experience)
  • Minimum 3 years of diagnostic ultrasound experience (veterinary or human + veterinary hybrid)
  • Detail-oriented, technically skilled, and reliable
  • Excellent communication and client-service focus
