Senior Accountant
We are partnering with a growing manufacturing organization to recruit a Senior Accountant. This position is ideal for a talented accounting professional with 5+ years of hands-on experience who is passionate about contributing to a company's financial success and evolving their career. The Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in managing financial processes, streamlining operations, and driving business decisions. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage general accounting and financial reporting for the organization, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Prepare and analyze month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
- Supervise daily accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Lead and manage the monthly close process, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to provide actionable insights to company leadership.
- Oversee cost accounting processes to ensure accurate tracking of inventory and manufacturing costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiencies, reduce costs, and optimize financial strategies.
- Ensure the accuracy and consistency of financial data and maintain internal controls and adherence to accounting principles.
- Analyze trends in the manufacturing industry that may impact the financial position of the company, providing recommendations to management.
- Optionally manage and develop a small team of junior accounting or finance professionals, providing mentorship and ensuring best practices are followed.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing or related industries.Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with cost accounting practices preferred.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights effectively.Experience with managing or mentoring a small team is a plus but not required.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively across departments.Why Join This Company?
