Position :

• Fabrication Laser / Water Jet Operator Level 1-3 Location :    Cameron Park, CA Status :    Full Time day shift Hours :    Monday - Friday Our Compensation and Benefits show how much we value our team! $18.00 - $33.00 per hour, depending on experience Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with high company contribution Long Term Disability and Life Insurance Plans 401K plan with Company Match Generous Paid Vacation and Sick Time Paid Holidays General Description : Operate metal cutting machines, shear, laser, water jet and finishing equipment.
• Responsible for properly placing work pieces in the machines and completing the operations specified on the job travelers, interpret blueprints and part specifications to select the correct material, tools, and fabrication processes.
• Utilize proper G-code programming formats.
• Selects the proper inspection tool to verify product conformity to specifications.
• Working knowledge of programming techniques both at the machine control and via CAD / CAM software.
• Mentors lower-level Fabricator Laser / Water Jet operators to increase their performance and skill level.
• Assists with overseeing the workflow for maximum efficiency within the department.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Working knowledge of the fabrication characteristics of ferrous materials (Steel, Stainless Steel, Titanium, Inconel, Hastalloy etc.), non-ferrous materials (Aluminum, Copper, Brass, etc.) and plastics (Delrin, ABS, PVC, Polypropylene, etc.) Capable of generating NC and CNC programs and interpreting and editing programs using standard G-code formats Skill Level Demonstrated Operations Skills :

Reads blueprint and job traveler specifications to determine the proper tooling required to set up each operation Builds fixtures as required to hold each work piece Observes operation of machine and verifies conformance of work piece to specifications using standard measuring tools Modify programs as required to meet product conformity Generate set-up sheets as required Replace punch tooling as required to meet product conformity Maintain statistical reporting Retrieve and store programs to the database Deburr work pieces as required Clean parts as required Skill Level Quality Control :
