Office Assistant 1
Office Assistant 1 with the New York State Office of the Attorney General is responsible for various maintenance duties to ensure the facility operations meet health and safety standards. This includes monitoring incoming work requests, performing routine repairs and maintenance on equipment and facility structures, and evaluating immediate needs to prioritize work. The role also involves operating communication systems, scheduling appointments, and performing routine processing activities. The position requires the ability to push, pull, lift, and carry heavy objects and equipment.
Preferred qualifications include reliability, trustworthiness, the ability to work independently or in a team, good verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to interact well with different groups of people.
Minimum qualifications include being reachable on the Department of Civil Service Eligible list for Beginning Office Assistant, eligible for a lateral transfer, or eligible for a 55b / c appointment. There are no minimum education or experience requirements for this title.
