Outreach Specialist (Phoenix, AZ)

The Outreach Specialist will primarily support the work of the Government and Community Relations team members located in Scottsdale while working collaboratively with other distributed team members. The individual supports the community engagement, legislative outreach, local and rural outreach functions while gaining valuable experience and contacts in local engagement and public affairs. Manages, develops and coordinates event logistics, provides facility support and works closely with the departments located at the U of A Scottsdale Center.

The Government & Community Relations team works with the Office of the President, students, faculty and staff, businesses and community groups throughout the state to develop strategies and policies that advance the university's interests. Based at the U of A Scottsdale Center, the team includes :

• State relations
• Local and rural outreach
• Federal relations
• Local outreach at the main campus in Tucson
