Global Energy Procurement Analyst

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: As global energy procurement market analyst, you will be responsible for researching natural gas and power market fundamentals, developing procurement strategy, position management, special projects, and monitoring company financial impact. This position will need to build strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the purchase of power, natural gas, diesel for all sites in USA.
• Responsible for locking in market values at competitive costs. Strong ability to perform market research and pricing forecasts.
• Support in creating cash flow models, forecasting and ongoing oversite of existing and new energy projects.
• Review suppliers and sourcing supply.
• Analyze economic and market data related to global energy markets, with strong focus on US.
• Budget, forecast, and monitor site usage rates and costs.
• Communicate procurement strategy with business leaders.
• Development of energy risk management models and tools.
• Prepare regular reports and market updates for senior management.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Statistics, Finance, Data Science or a related field required.
• Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and general curiosity.
• Proficiency in Excel and power points.
• Knowledge of power, natural gas, fuel and currency markets.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
• As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

• Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
• Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
• 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
• Base salary range of $60,000 - $70,000;
• Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and
