Overview

Purpose Statement / Position Summary : The Licensed Vocational Nurse in the Infusion Center provides nursing assistance to the ambulatory programs of a division including management of patient flow, patient intake, and maintenance of clinic facilities. Employee will follow applicable policies and procedures in handling supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment. The LVN will work in a fast paced environment in the Infusion Center in a multidisciplinary team setting to facilitate patient appointments, draw labs, access / start peripheral IV, perform blood products transfusions or infusions as needed and medications per LVN scope of practice. Additionally, complete teaching, and provide necessary paperwork (i.e. depart summary / follow up patient appointments; provide care coordination).

Minimum Qualifications / Work Experience : 1+ year pediatric nursing experience along with Ambulatory Clinic Experience required; Hematoloy Oncology experience preferred; Organizational skills as needed.

Education / Licensure / Certifications : Completed licensed vocational nurse program. Current license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of California. Current AHA CPR card. IV certificate from the California state board and Phlebotomy certification required.

Pay Scale Information

$54,891.00-$90,178.00

Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
