LocumJobsOnline is working with Austin Major Group to find a qualified Rheumatology MD in Pennsylvania!

About The Position

Position Overview

We are seeking a Rheumatologist to provide full-time locum coverage in Pennsylvania. The physician will manage a full outpatient schedule, provide telehealth visits, supervise two on-site Physician Assistants, and offer limited hospital consults and after-hours call.

Schedule & Coverage

  • Clinic : Monday–Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM
  • Night Call : Monday–Friday, 4 : 30 PM – 8 : 00 AM
  • Weekend Call : Saturday–Sunday, 24-hour call (8 : 00 AM – 8 : 00 AM)
  • Shifts per Month : 10–20

Typical Volume :

  • Outpatients : 12–16 per day
  • After-Hours Calls : 0–5 per month
  • Hospital Consults : 0–5 per month (often by phone / EMR during business hours)
  • Clinical Scope

  • Typical Conditions : Rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, lupus, scleroderma, gout, vasculitis, inflammatory myopathies, sarcoidosis, polymyalgia rheumatica, giant cell arteritis, and more.
  • Procedures : Joint injections.
  • Patients : 100% adult population.
  • Support : Two Physician Assistants (mid-level coverage 8 AM – 4 : 30 PM daily).
  • EMR : Epic
  • Requirements

  • Certification : Board Certified / Board Eligible in Rheumatology
  • Experience : Minimum 1 year in Rheumatology practice
  • Licensure : Active Pennsylvania medical license (IMLC considered)
  • DEA : Required
  • Certification : BLS required
