HCT seeks an experienced nursing professional to serve as the Interim Director of Quality for a 250+ bed hospital in California. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Providing leadership, direction, and implementation of all quality / performance improvement (PI) activities to ensure compliance with regulatory and accrediting body requirements and organizational goals, encompassing the performance of the medical staff, nursing staff, and support services.
- Oversees the functioning of the Medical Staff (peer review) Excellence Committee, including coordination of peer review, periodic practitioner performance reviews, and focused practitioner performance review.
- Coordinates activities of the Quality and Safety Committee as well as JC activities.
Requirements
Education : BSN required; Master's preferredExperience : Minimum of 5 years’ experience in acute care setting with progressive leadership responsibility in healthcare quality / performance improvement; thorough understanding of JC standards, state and federal standards, value-based purchasing initiatives, readmission reduction and hospital acquired conditions programs, core measures and HCAHPS.Licensure : Current RN license in CA requiredCertifications : Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) strongly preferredExpenses are covered while on assignment including housing, airfare, and rental car.
