LocumJobsOnline is working with TotalMed Staffing to find a qualified Hematology and Oncology MD in North Carolina!

About The Position

ECU Health Edgecombe Hospital in Tarboro, NC is seeking a Board-Certified Hematology / Oncology physician to provide locum tenens coverage beginning October 1, 2025. This ongoing assignment will cover the first three weeks of each month, Monday through Thursday, 8 : 00am–5 : 00pm, with no nights, weekends, or call responsibilities. Enjoy practicing in a community hospital setting with strong specialty support, while living in a welcoming North Carolina town with easy access to Greenville and Raleigh-Durham.

Job Requirements

Provide inpatient and outpatient hematology / oncology care

Manage an average of 15 patients per day

Conduct consultations, follow-up visits, and treatment planning

Collaborate with hospitalists and specialty teams for coordinated care

Document all patient interactions in Epic Oncology EHR

Ensure continuity of care during assigned coverage blocks
