Responsibilities Position is in the ICU of a level 3 trauma center Medical and surgical ICU patient population with emphasis on medical ICU cases Patient types include DKA, DTs, multisystem failure, ARDS, sepsis, pneumonia, COVID, open abdomen, thoracotomies, and select neuro and cardiovascular procedures Patient ratios are 1 : 2-3 based on acuity Day shift, 12 hours, with every other weekend rotation EMR is Epic Uses BD Alaris IV Pumps for infusion and Pyxis for medication dispensing Floating may be required to Respiratory Unit, Surgical, Telemetry, PCU, or ED for support Responsibilities include managing care for critically ill patients with complex medical and surgical needs ICU does not expect travelers to manage CRRT, Impella, balloon pumps, or ECMO Scrubs in any professional color are permitted Level 3 trauma center with 18 mixed-bed ICU, including both single and double occupancy rooms Holiday coverage and night shifts may be required according to unit needs Assignment duration is 13 weeks with a potential contract end date of 02-28-2026 Requirements Active WA or Compact RN license required (license in hand or proof of pending application accepted) Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation, medication titration, proning, hypothermia protocol, chest tubes, drains, and invasive line monitoring (a-lines, CVP) Epic EMR documentation experience preferred Travel nursing experience strongly preferred Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-627541.
