As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a chemical or petrochemical location, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Your presence and attention to detail will contribute to a secure environment for employees and visitors. This is a driving post, requiring you to meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Position Type : Part Time

Pay Rate : $15.50 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTimeWed03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PMThur03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, following emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor and control access to the chemical and / or petrochemical location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel only.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Maintain detailed logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and irregularities observed at the location.
  • Communicate with Allied Universal management and site representatives regarding security-related matters as needed.
  • Support emergency response efforts in accordance with site-specific requirements and company procedures.

  • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) issued by TSA is required.
  • A valid driver's license issued in the job state and meeting Allied Universal driver policy requirements is required for driving positions.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
