Staffing Resource Office (SRO)
A highly versatile group of nurses that are trained to support staffing in many areas of the organization. These nurses develop or maintain a large variety of nursing knowledge, and support flexible staffing needs for the organization while in a wage, part-time, or full-time position. This teamwork-oriented group supports others, and maintains a broad range of skills for the variety of nursing needs within the organization while being compensated higher for this skill. This is a department that embraces the broad knowledgebase that staff come in with utilizing your wide-ranging skills set, while also supporting the development of the nurse in areas such as advanced skills, precepting, and charge. The intensive care unit float pool supports the critical care and intermediate units. The acute care float pool supports the acute care units with the ability to train to intermediate units. There is also a pediatric and women’s float pool if one has expertise in the areas. All float pools support the Emergency Department at varying levels.
Capable clinician, focused on expanding knowledge and skills. Consistently provides effective direct care, as part of the interdisciplinary team, to a variety of complex patients. Manages care and implements treatment plans at a refined skill level in collaboration with patients, their families, physicians and other members of the health care team. Seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice. Assumes a beginning leadership role but seeks mentoring in this process.

Minimum Requirements
Education : Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
Experience : 1 year of relevant experience.
Licensure : Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, bending / stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift / push / pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood / body fluids and infectious disease.
Position Compensation Range : $39.90 - $53.00 Hourly
