Job Function:
- Provides specialized medical care to patients with problems relating to the endocrine system.
- Examines patients, obtains medical histories.Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic tests as needed.
- Creates treatment plans.
- Initiates appropriate referrals to specialists and hospital programs.
- Ensures proper patient documentation is timely, accurate and complete.
- Participates in on-call coverage for the practice and hospital. Call rotation of 1 in 3.
- Provides quality supervision of residents, medical students, nurses, medical assistants, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and other clinical staff at the site.
Job Requirements:
Job Requirements:
- CT State license, DEA, CSR (active or applied preferred) but not required.
- Residency training in Internal Medicine, Fellowship training in Endocrinology.
