Job descriptionOperate washers and dryers to clean and dry linen according to established standards and procedures. Monitor equipment during the laundering process and address any malfunctions or issues promptly. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry area to optimize efficiency and workflow. Perform routine maintenance tasks on laundry equipment as trained to ensure proper functionality and longevity. Fold, store, and distribute clean towels and linens in designated storage areas. Ensure all linens are properly folded and stored to maintain quality and presentation standards. Practice safe work habits and wear protective safety equipment, such as gloves and goggles, as required. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries in the workplace. Assist with other housekeeping tasks, such as room cleaning or public area maintenance, in the event of staffing shortages or high demand periods. Keep the laundry area clean and organized, including sweeping floors, wiping down surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. High School diploma or equivalent and / or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred. Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly. Must be permitted to work in the USA with supporting documentation. Must be able to constantly push / pull laundry carts (empty and full) with potential weight between 50-400lbs (may vary by property). Must be able to occasionally pull linens from washer to dryer with potential weight between 25-150lbs (may vary by property).
