Position Overview
The Project Manager (MEP) is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects across multiple disciplines : Mechanical, Plumbing, Sheet Metal, HVAC, Electrical, and Fire Protection. This role requires deep knowledge of MEP systems, exceptional leadership ability, and a strong commitment to delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all aspects of project planning and implementation, ensuring quality and financial goals are achievedBuild strong relationships with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and vendorsDevelop and manage project schedules, budgets, and revenue forecastsOversee subcontractor scopes, contracts, and performanceIdentify and manage scope changes, preparing and submitting change ordersMonitor daily project progress and mentor site leadership to drive safety, productivity, and qualityPrepare and present financial analysis, including cash flow and schedule of valuesFacilitate all project meetings with owners, architects, and engineersSupervise and mentor project staff, addressing performance and staffing needsQualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)710 years of project management experience in commercial constructionStrong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteProven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and teams effectivelyPreferred
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt CertificationFamiliarity with BIM processesExperience with Procore Project Management softwarePrior military experienceWork Environment & Physical Demands
Work may involve both indoor and outdoor conditions (heat, cold, inclement weather, noise, dust, etc.)May include confined spaces, heights, climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and standing / walking for extended periodsMust be able to visually identify color-coded wiring and maintain close / distance vision as requiredOccasional local travel may be required
