Job descriptionEducation : Graduate of a program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Certifications : Certified in MRI by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or Red Cross Experience : Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience within the past 3 years Hepatitis B (series and titer) Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis) MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) Varicella (Chickenpox) TB (Tuberculosis) test Seasonal Influenza (flu) vaccine COVID-19 vaccine (if applicable) Perform a full range of MRI procedures as ordered by healthcare providers Prepare patients for scans, explain procedures, and ensure comfort and safety during imaging Accurately position patients and make necessary technical adjustments as directed by the radiologist Conduct daily equipment warm-ups and quality control tests following manufacturer guidelines Maintain cleanliness and functionality of MRI equipment in accordance with departmental protocols Monitor supply levels and recommend repairs or service when image quality is compromised Identify and differentiate between image artifacts and true pathology Make minor adjustments to imaging equipment and ensure correct programming and scanning techniques Stay informed on the latest MRI technology trends and practices; share recommendations for departmental improvements Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies, including cardiac or respiratory arrest, by initiating appropriate resuscitative measures Associate (Required) CT : 1 year (Required) ARRT (CT) Certification (Required) BLS Certification (Required) Jacksonville, FL 32214 (Required) Jacksonville, FL 32214 : Relocate before starting work (Required)
MRI Technician - PRN
Location : Naval Hospital Jacksonville, Florida

USGP is currently seeking a skilled MRI Technician to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our military service members, veterans, and their families at the Radiology Department of Naval Hospital Jacksonville, FL .
Position Benefits
- Competitive Pay : $51.09 / hour
- Work Schedule : Will normally be Saturdays, Sundays and the following holidays : MLK Day, Presidents Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, and Veterans Day
- Shift times : Shifts are required 2x a day between the hours of 7am - 4pm and 3pm-12am.
