Job Description
Overview
Looking for technicians with working knowledge of electrical codes, and / or metal fabrication. The ideal candidate must be equipped to perform a variety of tasks, and capable of working with minimal supervision. This role involves bending, drilling, cutting sheet metal, assembling, distribution panel wiring, testing, and repairing electrical equipment following documented procedures, approved engineering drawings and established UL standards.
Representative Duties / Assignments
Employees must be skilled in working with the inspection of UL Standards and procedures of all equipment manufactured in a UL Shop.
Repairs, maintains, and manufactures temporary electrical equipment related to the UL program.
Troubleshoots and diagnoses difficult electrical and mechanical issues to UL equipment.
Ability to use hand tools and power tools to trim, cut and fit components into the final product.
Experience with welding and soldering pieces together.
Working knowledge of bending , cutting and drilling sheet metal.
Perform other related duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Five (5) years of experience in one or more of the above areas of responsibility or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to understand and follow written and oral instructions in English.
Required to have and maintain a valid Florida Driver¿s License.
Preferences
Working knowledge and / or skills regarding electrical distribution equipment. Manufacturing, repairing, evaluating, and inspecting all UL equipment following UL standards.
