Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a critical-need ICU position in California requiring a current CA RN license and recent ICU experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) within a hospital setting
  • Night shift position, 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM, 12-hour shifts
  • 13-week contract assignment
  • Uses Epic electronic medical record system
  • Caring for critically ill adult patients
  • Provide care for a diverse population of critically ill patients in a fast-paced environment
  • Requires strong critical thinking and clinical skills
  • Must adhere to hospital policies and procedures
  • Both local and travel candidates are accepted at the same rate
  • Maximum assignment duration is two years, after which a 90-day break is required
  • COVID and Flu vaccination status may be requested
  • Epic EMR experience is beneficial
  • Opportunity to work alongside a collaborative and highly skilled ICU team

  • Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Minimum 1 year of recent (within the last 3 years) full-time ICU nursing experience
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
  • 2 years of recent ICU experience preferred
  • NIH Stroke Scale Certificate and CCRN preferred
  • Dialysis or SLED experience preferred
  • Last four digits of SSN and date of birth required
