Senior II UI / UX Designer - Overwatch 2 Irvine (USA) Blizzard Entertainment USD 1

Soldiers, scientists, adventurers, oddities…artists? We are the Overwatch team, passionate gamers at heart, and we’re looking for a new hero to help us make Overwatch 2 - the globe-spanning sequel to Blizzard Entertainment’s acclaimed team-based game.

The Overwatch 2 team is searching for a Senior II UI / UX Designer to drive the development of seamless, visually striking interfaces that enhance gameplay and engagement across menus, HUDs, and interactive systems.

As a key contributor to one of Blizzard’s most beloved franchises, you’ll collaborate with artists, engineers, designers, and VFX specialists to design UI that is both functional and beautifully integrated into the Overwatch universe. From concept sketches to polished in-game implementation, your expertise will ensure every interface reflects Overwatch’s distinctive style while prioritizing accessibility and player interaction.

This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The potential home studio for this role is in Irvine, CA.

Responsibilities :

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities :

Understand the distinctive Overwatch visual style and push it to the next level.

Create concepts, flows, layouts, mock-ups, and prototypes.

Collaborate with artists, engineers, VFX teams, and designers to create and implement a polished and fluid interface, leading to a great user experience.

Design awesome game interfaces that complement and develop the Overwatch style.

Work together with the team throughout the design process, gathering actionable feedback and iterating at appropriate levels.

Utilize game engines to develop and implement UI / UX designs effectively.

Experience

12+ years of UI / UX design experience, including contributions to AAA titles.

Proven ability to design UI for multiple platforms (PC & consoles).

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), and front-end implementation (XAML, HTML5).

Exceptional ability to communicate design processes, iterate on feedback, and collaborate creatively.

Passion for gaming, with a deep understanding of multiplayer experiences and first-person shooters

Pluses

Experience with motion graphic tools (After Effects, Adobe Animate)

Familiarity with game engine UI implementation.

Shipped at least one AAA game as a UI / UX designer.

Strong knowledge of online gameplay design and user behaviors.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $121,500.00 - $224,880.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
