Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Assists in preparing financial reports in a timely manner that are in compliance with GAAP and accurately reflect the financial status of the company
- Keeps abreast of and apply GAAP, SEC regulations, and relative company policies, practices and procedures
- Ensures accounting integrity of corporate financial data through the implementation of appropriate internal controls
- Prepares schedules and journal entries
- Prepare monthly state and federal reports for the following agencies :
- General Land Office (GLO)
- Louisiana Department of Natural Resources (LDNR)
- Office of Natural Resources Revenue (ONRR)
- Commissioner of Land Office (CLO)
- Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC)
- Severance Tax Filings for the following States :
- Texas
- Louisiana
- Oklahoma
- Maintain tax rates and new setups within ERP.
- Record severance tax reimbursements related to marketing fee adjustments.
- Calculate and process owner interest payments.
- Assist with owner inquiries
- Process the monthly royalty payment cycles and perform payment analysis.
- Reconcile Royalty Suspense and facilitate monthly Debit Payable meeting.
- Prepare and distribute monthly close calendar
- Build and maintain cross-departmental relationships to ensure information flow
- Special projects or task as needed
