Position Summary

The LPN assists physicians and non-physician clinicians (NPs and PAs) with the examination and treatment of patients. This role requires clinical skill, independent judgment, and a commitment to patient care and education.

Duties & Responsibilities

I. Patient Care

• Assess patient health status and assist in prioritizing immediate needs
• Prepare patients for exams; record vital signs and medical histories
• Administer medications and assist with procedures as ordered
• Document nursing actions and effectiveness in progress notes
• Monitor and maintain emergency equipment and medical supply inventory
• E-scribe or phone in prescriptions as per protocol
• Notify patients of lab results per provider instruction
• Support training of CMA / nursing students and personnel
• Perform ancillary procedures (e.g., EKGs, peak flow tests, audiometry)
• Triage walk-in or call-in patients using established guidelines
• Support QA and participate in health fairs and outreach activities
