• Receive, install, and configure PC hardware and peripheral components, including monitors, keyboards, printers, disk drives, and related equipment.
• Install and configure approved software packages such as operating systems, productivity tools, and other applications in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting—both in person and over the phone—related to PC operations; diagnose hardware, software, and system issues using knowledge of system operations.
• Install, troubleshoot, and coordinate repairs for barcode readers and related devices.
• Coordinate repairs of personal computers and peripherals with manufacturers or suppliers, ensuring all warranty provisions are followed.
• Dismantle hardware setups, relocate equipment, reconnect systems to newly installed cabling, and verify proper functionality.
• Support telecommunications equipment and network services, including those required for video conferencing and related business needs.
• Oversee daily systems operations such as creating new user accounts, installing hardware, diagnosing and resolving system issues, ensuring proper file server operation, and performing file backups.
• Maintain accurate inventory databases for PCs and telephone equipment, ensuring all resources are accounted for; manage a software library and ensure compliance with software licensing and copyright laws.
• Adhere to all safety requirements and immediately report unsafe practices or conditions.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
