$2,500 relocation bonus for out-of-area hires moving to Charlotte
Ready to move from the hangar to the classroom? We're looking for experienced A&P mechanics to train the next generation of aviation technicians in Charlotte, NC. If you're currently in the Buffalo, NY area and want a stable schedule, climate controlled environment, strong benefits, and the opportunity to grow with one of the Southeast's rising aviation hubs, this is your chance to make a lasting impact-without giving up your hands-on expertise. $2,500 sign-on bonus + $2,500 relocation bonus available for qualified out-of-area candidates.

Compensation: This position averages $33.65 per hour. $2,500 sign-on bonus

Schedule:
  • Option 1: Monday - Thursday: 6:30am - 4:30pm
  • Option 2: Monday - Thursday: 1:30pm - 11:30pm

Our 5-week, new teacher training program will support you as you transition from aircraft maintenance expert to aircraft maintenance educator. We also have materials ready to help you brush up on the basics, if you'd like.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Aircraft Mechanic Instructor to prepare students for successful careers in aircraft maintenance by delivering our FAA-aligned curriculum through high quality instruction, demonstrating hands-on techniques and fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach our FAA-aligned curriculum in a positive, supportive classroom environment that encourages participation and skill development
  • Support program leadership in the development and revision of high quality, accurate course materials
  • Record accurate attendance, grades, evaluations, and other required documentation
  • Notify leadership of any emerging concerns affecting student performance or classroom operations
  • Complete required training and participate in classroom observations and evaluations
  • Complete other tasks and projects assigned by Supervisor
Qualifications

Education
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associate degree in a related field preferred
Experience
  • At least three (3) years of hands-on aircraft maintenance experience
Skillset
  • Strong command of aircraft maintenance systems and procedures with a demonstrated commitment to continuous learning
  • Experience with and openness to learning Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams)
  • Flexibility to work outside scheduled hours as needed
Licensure
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic Certificate
