Job descriptionPlan and supervise all components of government audit engagements of varying complexity Develop deep understanding of client businesses and become a functional expert Prepare and review work papers under GAAS to ensure accuracy and compliance Anticipate client concerns, identify issues, and deliver timely solutions Build strong relationships with client personnel while meeting deadlines and budgets Mentor and coach staff, providing feedback for evaluations and professional growth Demonstrate proficiency in technical research, professional standards, and quality work Participate in firm recruiting and client development activities Apply knowledge of FASB, GASB, SAS, SSARS, and other auditing principles in engagements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (required, Accounting preferred) CPA license (active or in progress, required) Minimum 5 years of public accounting experience in government auditing with proven progression in complexity and scope Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience leading audit staff and managing engagements Strong background in financial statement audits, regulatory compliance, and government standards (FASB, GASB, GAAS) Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CaseWare and Workiva experience preferred Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple projects within deadlines and budgets Proven ability to coach, train, and develop junior staff
