Sample Room Coordinator (Studio Sample Management)
Location : Onsite in Columbus, OH
Contract : 4-month W2 contract with potential for extension based on performance
Pay Range : $25–$32 / hour
About the Role
Russell Tobin is supporting a leading retail client in their search for a Sample Room Coordinator (Studio Sample Management Analyst) . In this role, you’ll be responsible for organizing and managing production samples, ecommerce photography needs, and supporting comp product / prop management within a fast-paced studio environment. This position is highly operational, requiring exceptional organization, adaptability, and collaboration across creative and marketing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day sample management processes, including receiving, checking in, and organizing final production samples.
- Maintain a complete and accurate Sample Library, including tracking, securing missing items, and managing sample lifecycles in compliance with company policies.
- Pull, organize, and prepare product samples and comps for photography needs.
- Track and update timelines, queues, and reporting for sample deliveries and photo shoots.
- Support comp product and prop management processes, including shipment preparation, prop organization, and maintaining prop library inventory.
- Collaborate with internal partners in Creative Services, Marketing Operations, and external vendors to ensure deadlines and production needs are met.
- Process purchase orders, invoices, and expense records tied to comp product production.
- Support an operational initiative to outsource product photography by ensuring samples are properly tracked, shipped, and recorded.
Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in a fast-paced corporate environment (sample or studio management experience strongly preferred).Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines.Excellent communication skills—verbal and written—with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.High attention to detail and ability to work calmly under pressure.Comfortable adapting quickly to shifting priorities in a deadline-driven environment.Experience supporting photo shoots or studio operations is a plus.Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.What Stands Out
