Part-Time Business Development Intern - Underground District

Internship Opportunity

The Underground District has been constructing underground facilities for over 70 years and is recognized as a leader in the tunneling industry. We have completed more than 100 underground-related projects totaling more than several billion dollars. Our work includes projects related to transportation, water / wastewater, environmental facilities, power, mining, and telecommunications. We incorporate state-of-the-art technology with proven construction methods to ensure excellence and ongoing success. Please keep in mind that we are an Underground Construction business, so chances are that the majority of your day will be spent working Underground. Services include TBM Rock, TBM Soft Ground, Sequential Excavation, Drill and Blast, Shaft Excavation, Concrete, Tunnel Rehab, and Numerous Trenchless Methods.

Responsibilities

• Entry-level office support including answering phones, making copies, sending faxes, maintaining office supplies
• Effectively manage advertisements
• CRM management and organization. Inputting data to track information about future opportunities and prospective clients
• Managing meeting notes for market calls
• Working with graphic designers to develop marketing material
• Help manage Underground Districts weekly newsletter

Qualifications

Effective writing, communication, and interpersonal skills

Attention to detail and organizational skills

Strong customer service orientation

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Ability to manage confidential information in strict confidence

Basic knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
