Senior Power Platform Solution Technician
Overview
As part of a major transformation initiative to migrate approximately 3,000 workflows from Nintex on-premises to Microsoft Power Platform, the Senior Power Platform Solution Technician will play a critical role in the build, configuration, validation, and testing support stages of the project.
This role will be responsible for validating the solution design, configuring and building Power Platform solutions, supporting system and user testing, and resolving assigned defects or enhancement requests. The successful candidate will possess advanced, hands-on expertise across Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse, and related Microsoft 365 and Azure integration technologies.
Location : The role is fully remote for someone based in the US, but the successful candidate must be able to support our client working in Eastern Time Zone.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Lead Solution Designer on solution design approaches.
- Validate solution designs and technical specifications provided by the Solution Designer.
- Build, configure, and deploy Power Platform components (Power Automate workflows, Power Apps, Integrations, etc.).
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical Power Platform solutions.
- Apply best practices for environment management, solution packaging, and ALM (Application Lifecycle Management).
- Develop complex Power Automate workflows with advanced logic, error handling, and API integration.
- Build Canvas and Model-Driven Power Apps implementing formulas, variables, and responsive layouts.
- Design and maintain Dataverse data models, including relationships, lookups, and business rules.
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with Microsoft 365 services and Azure components.
- Create Power BI dashboards to monitor workflow usage and performance metrics.
- Support system integration and user acceptance testing (SIT / UAT) cycles.
- Resolve defects, performance issues, and enhancement requests during testing and production support.
- Document configuration details, design changes, and troubleshooting steps.
Qualifications & Experience
Required :
5+ years of experience developing solutions on the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, Dataverse).Deep understanding of Nintex workflows / forms and process automation concepts.Hands-on expertise in Power Automate, including multi-step flows, error handling, and API integrations.Proven experience building Canvas and Model-Driven Apps with Power Apps.Strong understanding of Dataverse data modeling, business rules, and security.Experience integrating with Microsoft 365 services and Azure components.Familiarity with DevOps, version control, and deployment pipelines for Power Platform.Preferred :
Microsoft certifications (e.g., Power Platform Developer Associate, Power Platform App Maker Associate).Experience with workflow migration tools or automation frameworks.Working knowledge of Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Service Bus.Exposure to Power BI dashboards and analytics integration with Power Platform data.Key Attributes
