Transform Lives Through Communication in the Dynamic Twin Cities - Become Our Speech Language Pathologist

Exploring New Frontiers

Imagine stepping into a role where your next professional journey empowers voices and nurtures connections. As a Speech Language Pathologist nestled amidst the vibrant culture of Minneapolis, your work transcends traditional therapy. You will play a vital role in unlocking communication potential, reinstating confidence, and fostering connections-from toddlers experiencing their first sounds to adults rediscovering their ability to express themselves. This position not only promotes healing but enriches lives.

In this inspiring community, you have the unique chance to work with a diverse patient population in a setting that weaves together outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient needs. Be it your passion for assisting children with speech delays, supporting adults with neurogenic disorders, or providing cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation to seniors, this role promises both fulfillment and flexibility to find your niche.

Position Responsibilities

  • Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing standardized testing and observational methods.
  • Create tailored treatment plans that cater to both immediate objectives and long-term communication or swallowing requirements.
  • Deliver focused one-on-one therapy targeting communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing disorders.
  • Engage collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, healthcare professionals, caregivers, and families to devise integrated care strategies.
  • Empower patients and their families with education to promote progress beyond clinical settings.
  • Contribute to additional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring consistent care throughout the patient's journey.
  • Maintain precise, timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
  • Commit to ongoing learning and collaboration with peers to stay at the forefront of field advancements.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • If not ASHA-certified, completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
  • Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Core Competencies

  • Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for all ages, with a solid foundation in speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Aptitude for modifying therapeutic techniques to accommodate various cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills for sound clinical decision-making.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records and compliance regulations.
  • Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary reflective of experience and qualifications.
  • Flexible scheduling options to promote work-life harmony alongside varied patient caseloads.
  • Opportunities for specialization in pediatrics, adult rehabilitation, or geriatrics.
  • Paid time off (PTO) along with holiday pay.
  • A range of medical, dental, and vision insurance plans.
  • Continuing education reimbursement and encouragement for professional growth.
  • A supportive environment that values teamwork and quality of care.
  • A Journey That Speaks Volumes

Your role as a Speech Language Pathologist will be much more than just facilitating therapy; you will join a community committed to restoring voices and enhancing communication. Here, you will collaborate with colleagues who approach each day with the warmth of family, forging connections that transcend professional boundaries. Every patient has a journey, and we believe you'll be the key to how that story unfolds.

    Join Our Team

We are in search of a Speech Language Pathologist who is not only results-oriented but also guided by compassion. Someone who sees the potential in a quiet child and envisions a world full of expression, who listens to the tentative speech of a survivor and recognizes the strength within.

Whether you're a passionate advocate for pediatric communication or a dedicated professional eager to delve deeper into adult rehabilitation, if you're inspired to serve with heart and skill, we eagerly await the chance to meet you.

Let's Create Meaningful Change - Together
