Medical Assistant-Urgent Care Float Pool

Sentara Medical Group is currently hiring qualified Medical Assistants-Urgent Care Float Pool!

Must be either a CMA, CCMA, RMA, or EMT-Basic.

This is a full-time Float Pool position. This position will support Urgent Care Locations in Williamsburg, Newport News, and Gloucester.

Standard Working Hours : Swing Shift 8a-8p (Includes every other weekend and 3 of 6 Holidays). Will work 12, 8, and 6-hour increments-80 hours bi-weekly.

Differential pay is provided for the travel and flexibility that is needed for this role.

Overview

Perform patient care and administrative / clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (NP / PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (Preferred)
