About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP for TPA Sales. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy for the TPA business line, with a focus on new business, new solutions, and new services. This role involves direct sales to new and existing accounts, as well as leading a team of Sales Executives and Client Managers. The VP will also be accountable for account retention and service, and must have a proven track record in the healthcare payor market. Essential responsibilities include leading strategic planning sales efforts, developing membership and revenue targets, and ensuring the sales and marketing success of the TPA business. The role demands a leader with strong strategic thinking, leadership, and the ability to establish and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders.
Candidates for the VP position should have a Bachelor’s degree, 5-7 years of health insurance industry experience, and 5 years of sales leadership experience. A state-specific Producer License in Life, Accident & Health is required or must be obtained within 45 days of hire. A Master’s degree in business administration and experience with Highmark or BCBS are preferred. The ideal candidate will have a robust network of relationships, proficiency in financial forecasting, and knowledge of core health insurance and ancillary products. Critical thinking, complex problem-solving, persuasion, negotiation, and excellent communication skills are essential for this role. The VP will be expected to travel occasionally and must be able to work in an office-based environment.
