Job description

Project Accountant

We are seeking a skilled Project Accountant to join our team. This role involves managing financial aspects of projects, ensuring accurate documentation, and collaborating with team members to resolve financial issues.

Responsibilities :

  • Manage client invoicing and collections.
  • Track and maintain project budgets.
  • Assist with coding and processing accounts payable (A / P), timesheets, and expense reports.
  • Ensure accurate contract documentation and administration.
  • Collaborate with project managers and staff to resolve financial issues.
  • Perform other related duties as needed.

Essential Skills :

  • Proficiency in accounting, project accounting, general ledger management, and reconciliation.
  • Experience in month-end processes, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills (Pivot Table, Formulas, VLOOKUP), Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, well-organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications :

  • High School degree required.
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management.
  • Work Environment :

    The position is in-office with cubicles, fostering a family environment where everyone helps each other. A laptop will be provided for work. The standard working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. The company is 100% employee-owned, offering growth opportunities and a supportive, long-tenured team.

    Job Type & Location :

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lexington, Kentucky.

    Pay and Benefits :

    The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $40.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms. If eligible, the benefits available for this temporary role may include the following :
