Job Title : Lab Technician

Job Description

The Lab Technician will conduct standard and advanced analytical techniques, including bench titration, pH testing, specific gravity measurements, and small bench non-volatile and residue testing. The role involves starting the GC process, with samples sent to a different location for completion. All testing involves non-hazardous materials.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct standard and advanced analytical techniques, including bench titration, pH testing, specific gravity, small bench, non-volatile, and residue testing.
  • Initiate the GC process and prepare samples for external testing.
  • Bring in products and conduct inbound receipts, documenting information into the internal system.
  • Confirm material compliance with prescribed specifications.
  • Maintain equipment logs and ensure proper functioning.
  • Follow SOPs and assist in developing additional methods.
  • Review and update documents such as procedures and batch instructions.
  • Provide assessment and disposition of quarantine product.
  • Assist with providing certificates of analysis for customer shipments.
  • Complete monthly quality checks for quality, GMP, and safety-related programs.
  • Assist with the creation of customer-specific labels for product deliveries.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or chemical engineering; an associate's degree in a science-related field will be considered.
  • Experience with Microsoft skills, especially Microsoft Access.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00 / hr.
