About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Development Officer (CDO) to join their senior leadership team and play a pivotal role in the organization's growth and sustainability. The CDO will be responsible for designing and managing all fundraising and development initiatives, with a focus on increasing the company's visibility, impact, and financial support. This includes cultivating major gifts, grants, and partnerships, as well as leading efforts to expand the donor pipeline. The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO, board of directors, staff, and volunteers to build the necessary infrastructure and relationships to support a multi-million-dollar annual budget and advance the company's mission. Candidates for the CDO position at the company should have a passion for the organization's mission, a Bachelor's degree, and a minimum of 5 years' professional experience in a multi-faceted development role. The role requires a proven track record in fundraising, strong project leadership skills, and the ability to inspire and influence others. The CDO will be expected to maintain long-term relationships with donors, oversee donor information systems, and lead a team to ensure the success of fundraising initiatives. An entrepreneurial mindset, exceptional communication skills, and a collaborative, team-player attitude are essential. The position is full-time and may require some evening and weekend work to engage with the community and support fundraising events.
