Journeyman Carpenter $28-$33 / HR

Position Overview

Summit Skilled Solutions is seeking experienced Journeyman Carpenters for a five-story, wood-framed office building project located in Rocky River OH. This is a hands-on role ideal for skilled tradespeople who take pride in precision, craftsmanship, and safety.

Carpenters will perform a variety of framing and construction tasks associated with multi-level commercial wood construction. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Perform wood framing, layout, and general carpentry tasks on a multi-story office building.

Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.

Measure, cut, assemble, and install framing materials and related components.

Utilize standard hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.

Work collaboratively with site leads, foremen, and other trades.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols.

Requirements

Minimum 4+ years of commercial or multi-story wood framing experience preferred.

Proficient with framing layout, measurements, and use of standard carpentry tools.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at elevated heights as needed.

Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required.

Must provide own standard hand tools .

No drug test or background check required.

Work Environment & PPE

Project Type : 5-story wood-framed office building

Required PPE : Hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, high-visibility vest

Compensation

Pay Rate : $28 $33 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule : Monday Friday, 7 : 00 AM 4 : 00 PM (overtime may be available)
