Serenity for Life is a new women's residential program scheduled to open October 1, 2025!  It is a voluntary, 10-bed, luxury facility nestled in the mountains of Georgetown, Colorado. The number of beds and extended stay offers staff the ability to work closely with the residents and to make a difference in their lives, the lives of their loved ones, and the communities in which they reside.  We utilize evidence-based practices and provide trauma informed care.

We provide a safe, relaxing environment while offering residents the tools and support needed to manage their substance use and co-occurring disorders.  The single rooms with stream and mountain views from the balconies and private hot tubs offer a peaceful environment for residents to heal and grow.  The numerous outdoor adventures allow the residents to learn new activities, reduce stress, improve sleep, build self-confidence, and develop long-lasting friendships.  We are looking for team members who have a passion for the behavioral health field, enjoy outdoor adventures, and value open communication, teamwork, innovation, and creativity.

Position Summary

The Primary Therapist is responsible for providing the highest levels of Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and mental health treatment services through individual and group counseling services to clients and families. The Primary Therapist works as part of an Interdisciplinary Team helping to develop individualized treatment plans for each client, facilitating its focus, goals, and execution. The Primary Therapist will carry a caseload of clients and work diligently to help each client find their path to recovery and change and support the development of a detailed transition plan based on individual needs.

Essential Job Duties

• Maintain professional and ethical standards as prescribed by NAADAC, state and federal laws, and professional organizations
• Utilize evidence-based practices
• Conduct intakes
• Conduct detailed psychosocial assessments, individualized treatment planning in each phase of the client's program, regular treatment plan reviews, and collaborative discharge planning
• Facilitate therapy, psychoeducation and activity group sessions and provides individual counseling
• Provide crisis intervention as needed
• Review and discuss client's progress toward goals and objectives
• Document services provided, including treatment progress documentation note and group note, in accordance with policies and procedures
• Maintain contact with other agencies and professionals regarding client progress in the therapeutic treatment milieu through phone calls, letters, and / or reporting as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of referral sources and list of services within and outside the geographic region
• Report and review critical incidences and grievances with Clinical Director
• Share on a rotated schedule the on-call and respond by phone within 15 min. or less, and when necessary respond to facility for client emergency within 45 minutes or less.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

We are a non-smoking facility.  No smoking is allowed on the facility grounds or in company vehicles.

As part of our commitment to providing a safe and therapeutic environment for our clients and team members, Serenity for Life requires all final candidates to successfully complete a background check and drug screening prior to employment.

Employment is contingent upon :

Satisfactory results from a criminal background investigation, which will include state and federal records;

Verification of credentials and prior employment, where applicable;

A negative result on a drug screening test.
