Sterile Processing Technician II
The Sterile Processing Technician II is responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, assembling, sterilizing, and distributing surgical instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control and safety standards. This role requires attention to detail, knowledge of sterilization techniques, and proficiency with sterilization equipment and tracking systems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Clean, disinfect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
- Operate and maintain decontamination and sterilization equipment (ultrasonic units, washer / disinfectors, autoclaves, etc.).
- Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and quality control for all sterilization processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Serve as a preceptor or team lead as needed, assisting with training and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent required.CRCST or CBSPD certification required (or must be obtained within 2 years).Preferred : Completion of a CRCST program and prior Sterile Processing or OR experience.Knowledge of surgical instrumentation, infection control, and sterilization principles.Equal Opportunity Employer
