Operating Room RN Nurse Manager

We are seeking a motivated RN Nurse Manager to lead our Operating Room and Endoscopy teams at Providence St. Joseph Hospital of Orange. In this role, you will oversee 14 Operating Rooms, 3 Cardiovascular Operating Rooms, and 3 Endoscopy Suites. As the RN Nurse Manager, you will create an optimal practice environment, ensuring the delivery of quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include planning, directing, and managing nursing care for designated patient populations across various nursing units. You will hold accountability for the 24-hour operation of the patient care unit, focusing on leadership, budget preparation, fiscal management, staffing, employee relations, patient satisfaction, and adherence to practice guidelines. Your leadership will promote proactive, collaborative interdisciplinary relationships aimed at delivering top-tier patient care. You will also develop programs, policies, and standards of care to ensure that patients' nursing care needs are effectively met.

Required Qualifications:

• External hires must possess a Master's Degree in Nursing or a related field.
• Internal transfers must obtain a Master's Degree in Nursing within 3 years of hire.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is acceptable for current SJO Nurse Managers.
• Must hold a California Registered Nurse License at time of hire.
• Must possess National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
• Minimum of 5 years of recent experience as an RN in an acute hospital setting.
• A minimum of 2 years of leadership experience is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5 years of Operating Room RN experience.
• Direct RN Leadership experience in the Operating Room is highly desirable.

This position offers a base pay range with additional compensation possibilities such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, and overtime. The final placement in the wage range will be determined by relevant experience.
