Role Description

This is a Per-Diem Live-in Caregiver position in Newton, MA. The primary responsibilities of this role include assisting clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADL), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Additionally, the role involves assisting clients with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADL) such as light housekeeping, shopping, and running errands. Babette Home Care is committed to providing the highest quality of care possible for clients, including socialization and companionship.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding
• Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals
• Monitor and record vital signs
• Assist with mobility and transfers
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
• Maintain a clean and safe environment
• Cook and prepare meals according to dietary restrictions or special needs as needed
• Complete medical documentation accurately and in a timely manner
• Follow care plans and instructions provided

Job Requirements

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification
• Experience in personal care and companionship, with clients with Alzheimer's/Dementia
• Familiarity with ADL and IADL services
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Must presently be located within the US and have work authorization, we are NOT able to provide VISA sponsorship
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to new situations and learn on the job, must possess a positive, proactive, and caring attitude
